Established in 1919, Ernest D. Nelson started Cactus Hill Ranch as a family farm north of Windsor, Colorado. However, the land has been in the family since the time it was homesteaded in the late 1800s. Since then, Cactus Hill has been passed down the generations and has grown to be one of the largest Sheep Feedlots in Colorado.
